Embassy hosts a Joint Event between Silatech Foundation & GIZ

The Embassy of the State of Qatar hosted a joint Roundtable event between Silatech Foundation and GIZ to discuss ways of promoting employment opportunities and integration of Youth and refugees in Germany. Silatech shared its successful experience in formulating innovative and employment programs for displaced youth and young refugees in the host countries.

Silatech pointed out at its successful approach on creating jobs opportunities for displaced and youth refugees that depends mainly on cooperation with local partners in the countries of operations, regional partners, and in coordination with international organizations.

Silatech presented its partnership program with Rizk Professional Development, one of the Syrian non-profit institutions in Turkey, that creates employment opportunities and promote integration for Syrian refugees into the Turkish labour market. Rizk Professional Development has become the reliable Syrian institution in providing career guidance and employment services to the refugees.

In addition, Silatech reviewed its innovative programs in support of Palestinian Youth that successfully provided 1,251 job opportunities for young entrepreneurs in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, in partnership with The Palestine Development Foundation and Iqrad Foundation in Lebanon

Silatech highlighted the implementation of jobs and decent livelihood opportunities initiative, with which 1700 displaced youth were trained and provided with job opportunities through the construction of alternative housing solutions as well as tools and workshops that help them obtaining jobs in future construction projects.

On the other side, GIZ praised the pioneering role played by Silatech in the training of refugees around the world. Silatech is an international, non-profit, non-governmental, social development organization working in a global effort to achieve sustainable development goals by supporting the economic empowerment of young people and linking them to training opportunities and jobs.
