The Euro-Mediterranean Arab Association for Economic Cooperation organized the "Diplomatic Salon" for the State of Qatar with the aim of building a stronger partnership between the two countries. H.E. Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar was the guest of honour for this event. A large number of Ambassadors, diplomatic missions, social and cultural figures and businessmen participated in the event that took place in Berlin at the Arabic Cultural House – The Diwan, to be the first event taking place before the official opening which is scheduled to be held in the coming months, The Diwan is aimed to build bridges of communications between the Arab and German cultures.

H.E the Ambassador stressed on the importance of increasing the German investments in Qatar in various sectors in order to support the process of economic reform and benefit from the German expertise in many fields especially the development of alternative energy, transport and different industries, pointing out that this cooperation will lead to support the economy and to create global competitive groups and sectors. H.E Sheikh Saoud Al Thani mentioned that positive results of cooperation between the two countries is a unique opportunity to gather representatives of politicians and businessmen to exchange ideas and work to activate the means of investment and discuss cooperation and planning of projects in many sectors. H.E the Ambassador pointed out at the importance of political stability of the State of Qatar which is an attractive factor for investments; in addition to its strategic position in securing economic stability.
