The Embassy of the State of Qatar organized a reception on the occasion of the celebration of Qatar National day in Berlin. More than 400 political, parliamentary, diplomatic representatives, economic officials, large number of ambassadors of foreign countries accredited to The Federal Republic of Germany and a number of Qatari citizens participated in the celebration.

In the welcoming speech, H.E. Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Germany, expressed the noble meanings and values of the commemoration of the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani who laid the foundations of the modern State of Qatar. H.E. added that this is a celebration of the outstanding accomplishments and developments that were achieved under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar. H.E. the Ambassador praised the strong and strategic relations between The State of Qatar and The Federal Republic of Germany and the large-scale events that took place within the framework of the Qatari-German Cultural Year 2017. The celebration of the national day included traditional stage activities performed by a group of Qatari children.
