At the invitation of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in the city of Cologne in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, H.E. Sheikh Saoud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar gave a lecture to a number of entrepreneurs, economists and representatives of German companies in Cologne and North Rhine-Westphalia.

The lecture of His Excellency dealt with the economic situation in Qatar and the possibilities for investment-rich and secure investments. His Excellency also informed about the practical steps that the State of Qatar has taken to diversify its sources of income and increase the competitiveness of its economy to ensure its integration into the world economy. His Excellency further expressed the utmost importance of the Qatari government to invest in human capital, establish a culture of innovation, and localize industries.

Additionally, His Excellency said: "The State of Qatar is confident in realizing its ambitions and implementing the plans of economic transformation in an intelligent and unique manner in line with the new changes,". At the end of the meeting, His Excellency answered the questions and inquiries of the participants.
