H.E. The Ambassador of the State of Qatar delivers a lecture at the Oldenburg Chamber of commerce and Industry at Lower Saxsony, and visits Wilhelmshaven Port

H.E. Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Germany delivered a lecture at the Oldenburg Chamber of commerce and Industry of Lower Saxony. The lecture was attended by a number of parliamentarians, politicians, businessmen and representatives of German companies in the region of North West of Germany.

H.E. The Ambassador presented the current economic situation in Qatar and the open opportunities for investment within the safe environment of the State of Qatar.

The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Olaf Lies, Minister of Energy, Environment, Reconstruction and Climate Protection of Lower Saxony. The German minister stressed on the importance of Qatari-German relations, praised the Qatari investments in Germany and welcomed the future Qatari investments at Lower Saxony.

During the event, H.E. The Ambassador visited the Wilhelmshaven port along with members of the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Trade of Oldenburg and management of the port. The port is scheduled to host Germany’s first import terminal for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). H.E. The Ambassador was briefed on the facilities of this port and the companies active in the port.
