Within the framework of fostering the bilateral relations with the Czech Republic, The Qatari-Czech parliamentary friendship Committee is formed within the Czech Parliament that is chaired by Dr. Kateřina Valachová, Former  Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic . Mr. Tomáš Hanzel, Deputy Speaker of the Czech Parliament, Mr. Adam Kalous, member of the Czech Parliament and Mr. Milan Hnilička, the Government Representative for Sports Affairs as members of the committee as well as number of members of Parliament from various Czech parties. H.E. Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, non-resident Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Czech Republic participated in the establishment of the committee that aims at enhancing the mutual relationship between the two countries and fostering parliamentary relations.

During the visit of H.E. The Ambassador, His Excellency held several meetings at the Foreign Ministry of the Czech Republic where he met with Mr. Peter Hladik, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Division of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and both discussed various bilateral issues of common interest for both countries. H.E. The Ambassador held also a meeting with a number of businessmen of the Czech Republic. H.E. The Ambassador visited to some of the Qatari patients who receiving medical treatment and rehabilitation in the Czech Republic.
